REGULATION DATED MAY 16, 1995

ON THE DETERMINATION OF THE BASE RATE FOR REFINANCING

The Governor of the National Bank,

Having seen the constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia;

Having seen the Law dated January 31 , 1992;

Having seen the Anukret 19 dated June 22, 1992;

Having seen the Kret of Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, the King of Kingdom of Cambodia dated November 1, 1993 retaining H.E. Thor Peng Leath as the General Governor of the NBC;

Upon the request of the Banking Department;

Decides:

Article 1:

In order to assist commercial banks in setting their own interest rates the National Bank has determined the base rate of 1.23 percent per month to be applied on refinancing operations with the commercial banks.

Article 2:

All declarations with meaning contrary to that contained in this current Prakas are null and void.

Article 3:

This Prakas comes into effect from the date of May 15, 1995.
